This work in progress was created on the inactive runway at Floyd Bennett Field with sugar, mimicking the white painted lines and metaphorical open-ended gateways of arrivals and departures of airways.

This Gateway was created in Cape May, New Jersey at sunrise by foot and with stick in constant repetition of marks from the ocean to sand and back to mimic the natural arcs and cycles of tides that ceaselessly exist. As I repeat my steps they are never the same but the flow in the same cycle as with tide. Here now and then there gone.
